General Care
Follow these instructions to avoid emergencies, discomfort and finish the treatment within the programmed.
- Do not play with wires or any other part of your devices, either with your fingers, tongue or some strange object.
- Forbidden Food:
Hard foods can break, bend or damage brackets and wires. Sticky foods can get between brackets and wire. Minimizes sugary foods, as they cause tooth decay.

- The following fruits and vegetables can be eaten, if they are first cut or sliced:

- We chew or chew bones of chicken or rib meat, or eat olives with bone. IF YOU ABUSE YOUR APPARATUS AND ABUSE, THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
- Brush your teeth, gums and appliances after each meal, use a mirror to check how you brush.
- Do not chew candy or sticky candy, try not to drink too much soda or sweetened drinks.
- In case of irritation of your lips or cheeks, use orthodontic wax, with it covers the bracket or wire where it hurts, that will relieve your discomfort.
- If one of your devices becomes loose or bothers you, call the office immediately to request an emergency appointment.
- For any discomfort caused by the action of your appliances, take an analgesic. Every time we adjust or activate your devices you can have pain a couple of days, this is normal.
- Remember that dirty teeth cause cavities and inflammation in your gums, in addition to bad odor. Brushing is one of your responsibilities.
