Your First Visit
On the
first visit you’ll fill a Health History and
registration form to let us know your health condition
(in many conditions, orthodontics treatment plan should
be change). Then we can know the reason because you or
your parents want for an orthodontist evaluation. The
doctor will make an examination, and after that, you and
your parents will know a general outline of the
treatment to be followed. The treatment does not begin
at this first consultation. We explain the
characteristics of the case and its appropiate
treatment to the patient and/or parents.
There are a variety of options:
- The patient needs no treatment: the doctor
will explain the reason for this decision and
will make periodical check-ups in order to
evaluate the development of the patient’s
dentition (6-12 months).
- The patient will need treatment in the
future: the patient will be monitored every 3
months and the doctor will start when necessary,
giving him or her a records appointment at which
to draw up a complete file on his or her
condition.
- The patient needs treatment: the patient is
given a records appointment at which to draw up
a complete file on his or her condition. At a
third appointment, following an analysis of the
results, he or she will receive the diagnosis
along with the treatment plan.
